About Mire Care

A small brand learning as we go

Mire Care started because we wanted soap that was simple, honest, and made with care. Not luxury. Not a miracle cure. Just good soap for everyday use.

We make our soaps in small batches using the cold-process method. This means we mix oils and lye by hand, pour them into molds, and let them cure for several weeks. It's a slow process, but it helps preserve the natural properties of the ingredients.

What we believe in

Small batches: We make what we can manage well. Each batch is tested before we sell it.

Simple ingredients: We use oils and butters that are known to be gentle on skin. No complicated formulas or hard-to-pronounce additives.

Honest communication: We won't promise miracles. Our soaps clean gently and smell nice (or don't smell at all, if you prefer). That's what they're meant to do.

Learning and improving: We're not experts. We're learning from each batch, listening to feedback, and making adjustments. If something doesn't work, we'll change it.

Why cold-process?

Cold-process soap making doesn't use external heat, which helps keep the beneficial properties of oils intact. It also creates glycerin naturally, which many commercial soaps remove. The result is a bar that's gentler on skin.

It takes longer—about 4-6 weeks from start to finish—but we think it's worth it.

Our approach

We're not trying to build a big brand or make bold claims. We're just making soap the way we'd want to use it ourselves—thoughtfully, carefully, and honestly.

If you have questions or feedback, we'd like to hear from you. We're still learning.
